According to HS2001, ¡°Testing Guideline on the Degradability
and Food Safety of Containers and Bags¡± published by the Environmental
Protection Department (¡°EPD¡±) of the HKSAR, within 180 days, the rate
biodegradability should be >=60%.
As shown above, without any pre-treatment (like
light or heat treatment), ¡¯s
biodegradation rate is well above the Standards¡¯ requirement of 60% (pure
cellulose)
Biodegradation was clearly occurring and completed
within the Standard's requirement.
